Jørgen Watne Frydnes (1984) is the General Manager of Utøya. During the last three years he has been responsible for the rebuilding of Utøya, including the process and building of “The Clearing”, the memorial on Utøya. He has a Master’s Degree in International Politics, and studied Social Sciences in York, UK and at the University of Oslo. Jørgen is on the Board of Directors of Doctors Without Borders (MSF Norway). He worked in the organisation for 8 years, visiting several operation across the world.
