Dr Paul-François Tremlett is a Lecturer in Religious Studies at The Open University, UK. He is currently conducting research on the Occupy movement as part of the ‘Re-Assembling Democracy: Ritual as Cultural Resource’ (REDO) project. He has conducted field work in London and Hong for the project and has recently published ‘Affective Dissent in the Heart of the Capitalist Utopia: Occupy Hong Kong and the Sacred’ in Sociology 2015, (online first, published July 3, 2015 at doi:10.1177/0038038515591943). His research interests include cities, secularisms and social and religious change.
